Horse Portraits

I love to be around horses and I love to try and capture the grace and beauty of a horse in pencil. The horse is probably one of my favourite subjects to draw, but also the most challenging, espcially hooves!

On this page, you can view a selection of horse portraits drawn over the last few years. These drawings are interesting as you can see how my style has developed.

Commission drawing of a Horse called Tyler. This was a 2 set commission, the other drawing was a full body version of Tyler.

Private collection, a drawing of Raffles, a Cob Pony cross that we were very lucky to help share and look after. A horse with lots of character and the intelligence to go with it.

Commission drawing of a horse called Savanah, one of my earlier commissions, interesting to see how my style has changed.

Bravestar, my first ever commission, so holds a special place in my heart. Sadly, since this commission, Bravestar has passed on. The consolation, is that the owner has this drawing to remember him by.
